Privately owned, within a 137ha nature reserve, on the Knysna River, this establishment offers an unique bio diversity of Afromontane Indigenous Forest, Cape Coastal Fynbos, and Estuarine Wetland, 89 bird species, bushbuck, the rare blue duiker, grysbok, bushpig and many smaller game.
Using only sustainable building materials, drawing inspiration directly from nature a harmonious balance has been created, from ragged thatch rising into the forest canopy, to hand crafted wood shingle and fynbos planted roofs, from meandering boardwalks to a "freshwater" natural pool.
