The mosaic route is a stunning drive around town, spotting the best mosaics in Sedgefield. This is not a quick ride and prepare yourself for at least an hours slow town fun. This is not your normal ride and special rates apply.
Sedgefield is well known for its myriad of mosaic sculptures, which can be found scattered throughout the little seaside town. It has been dubbed by many as the Mosaic Capital of South Africa and every year several beautiful new pieces are added to the town's collection: tortoises, guinea fowl, benches, hearts, a horse fence, a fish, a tree of life, a bus stop, a war memorial...the list goes on.

Sedgefield welcomes Marinara to the ever growing collection of Mosaic in Sedgefield. The most recent mosaic beauty, Marinara was unveiled last Monday, April 18 by Amanda Dickson with a word of special thanks from local head of tourism Shaun van Eck also who also expressed his gratitude for this worthwhile service to the community.
Marinara is an exceptional work of art and represents our town as more than a piece of attractive art. It, along with other pieces of exquisite art is fast becoming what Sedgefield truly stands for. Sedgefield is about all who lives here and share this wonderful space.
The Masithandane project reaches thousands of people each month, all of whom benefit from this locally administered initiative.
The town already boasts numerous mosaic works of art with many more in the pipeline. Masithandane accepts donations and sponsorships which is invested directly into back into the community.
